Chris Rawlinson (right) of the U.K. broke the oldest mens' meet record with a time of 48.49 in the 400H. The previous meet record (48.50) was set by Edwin Moses in 1979. Joey Woody (left) was second in 49.23 seconds.
Alan Webb made his only Mt. SAC appearance as a collegian in the University 1500m. After leading early, he faded to 9th place in a race won by Villanova's Adrian Blincoe (3:41.85).
Marion Jones clocked the 3rd fastest
time by an American woman
in 2002 while winning the 400m
title in 50.46 seconds.
Suzy Powell won her 3rd Mt. SAC title
in the discus with a throw of 206-4.

Breaux Greer won his second consecutive Mt. SAC javelin title with a toss of 254-10

J.J. Johnson (#415) was the 4th fastest U.S. performer over 100m in '02 based on this
9.95 second win. Among those finishing behind J.J. was eventual '02 European
Champion Dwain Chambers (#426), who finished second in 10.08.
