2005 Meet Highlights



April 15-17, 2005
  • Wallace Spearman became the first sprinter to run sub 20 seconds for 200m at Mt. SAC, establishing new meet and stadium records with a time of 19.96. This was the fifth fastest 200m performance in the world in 2005.
  • Breaux Greer, with a heave of 287-7, added more that 11 feet to the meet and stadium javelin records he set back in 2001. This was the longest throw by an American in 2005, and just an inch short of his American record.
  • Bernard Legat lowered his meet and stadium records for 5000m by nearly five seconds with a time of 13:14.71.
  • Christina Scherwin of Denmark also set new meet and stadium records in the javelin with her winning toss of 191-8.
