- Ashley Selman won the javelin at 190' 3"
- Michael Granville won the third of four consecutive high school 400m titles, setting the still-standing meet record of 46.49
- Felix Sanchez, the 2001 World Champion in the 400H, gave an early indication of his talent by winning the high school 300H in 37.51
