with a throw of 219-2. This was John's longest toss among his five winning
efforts at the Relays

Tiff bounded to his third triple jump title -- and a meet record

- Mike Boit of Kenya
won the 800 in 1:47.77
- Debbie
Brill set a new Canadian high jump record, and upped her own meet
record, by clearing 6-3 1/4
- Evelyn
Ashford of UCLA captured her first Relays' title, the 200m, in 23.22w
- A UCLA teammate,
Karin Smith, won her first javelin
title, throwing 178-1
