- Chuck Smith and Don Quarrie both ran 9.3w in the 100y
- John Mason took his third consecutive mile title in 4:10.9
- Reynaldo Brown won the first of six consecutive Mt. SAC high jump titles, and tied the meet record, by clearing 7-1
- Bob Seagren won his final Mt. SAC pole vault title, scaling 17-0
- In the jumps, Arnie Robinson (long jump, 26-8w) and Milan Tiff (triple jump, 53-10w) each claimed their first Relays' title
- Randy Matson threw 67-9 for the last of his three victories at Mt. SAC
- George Frenn set a meet record in the hammer with a throw of 227-9
- Chi Cheng rode the wind to a 10.4w victory in the 100y dash
- Mable Fergerson won the first of three consecutive victories in the 220y/200m, dashing 23.9yw
- Francie Larrieu notched her first Mt. SAC title, winning the mile in 4:49.7
