April 23-24, 1965
  • Ed Burke took his second consecutive hammer title, throwing a PR 221' 2" to edge Hal Connolly (220' 11")
  • Bob Seagren, now at student at Mt. SAC, set a national Junior College pole vault record by clearing 16-0
  • Fellow Mt. SAC student Don Shy won the 120H in 13.7w
  • Shy and Seagren combined with two teammates to set a national Junior College record of 53.7 in the 480 yard shuttle hurdle relay
  • Ralph Boston long jumped a windy 26' 5"w
  • Jim Grelle took his 3rd mile title, running 4:00.3
  • Ed Johnson and John Dobroth tied for first in the high jump, with both clearing 7' 0"
  • Art Walker won the first of four consecutive triple jump titles, bounding 53" 1-1/2"w
  • Jay Silvester made a rare foray to the shot circle and emerged victorious with a toss of 62' 2-1/2". He also took the discus title with a throw of 202' 11"
  • The L.A. Mercurettes won the inaugural women's 440 relay in 47.7
